Founders

Mr Methven Forbes

Chief Executive Officer / Owner

 

Methven Forbes has over 22 years of experience in setting up and operating medical centres, establishing a strong track record in primary care management and leadership. Throughout his career, he has developed innovative healthcare models, including Leeds' first list-based urgent care walk-in service and a community-based ophthalmology service that treats over 7,000 patients annually. His strategic leadership was further demonstrated in his role as Chief Business Officer for Leeds West Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), where he merged 39 GP practices serving 390,000 patients into a single commissioning body.

 

Methven’s commitment to integrated healthcare also led to the development of Leeds’ first Health and Wellbeing Centre, bringing together healthcare, social care, and third-sector resources to improve health outcomes. His significant contributions to healthcare innovation have been recognised through a PhD focused on intrapreneurship in healthcare, written about him at the University of York. Internationally, Methven has provided consultancy to Altona North Medical Group in Melbourne, Australia, and served as a consultant advisor to the Secretariat of the World Medical Association in Geneva, advising on organisational development and business strategy.

 

In addition to his healthcare achievements, Methven founded a nationally recognised charity focused on the social determinants of health, which has been profiled in the GP Five Year Forward View and Kingsfund reports.

 

Methven holds an MA with Distinction in Leading Innovation and Change from York St John University, a BA in Business Administration from the University of Plymouth, and an HND in Business and Finance.

 

Dr Mark Fuller

Chief Medical Officer / Owner

 

Dr. Mark Fuller qualified as a GP in 2011 after initially pursuing a career in surgery. At his first surgery where he became the business lead for the practice he successfully doubled the size of the practice after gathering local MP and councillor which was then used to develop additional services for patients of Bramley Leeds such as ultrasound physio and pharmacy services. Previously he was part of the Leeds Medical Committee (LMC) board and worked for Leeds CCG as the Clinical Lead for Public Health. During his time at the CCG he developed the first ever social prescribing national program that was subsequently commissioned and called PEP (Patient Empowerment Project). This was implemented in more than 100 practices in Leeds in 2014. During his time at Leeds CCG he led the successful application for £1.8 million to be invested in GP Practices in Leeds via the Prime Minister’s Challenge Fund.

 

As a qualified GP trainer he places much focus on training and staff development within the current organisation ensuring that all GP Practices are recognised as training hubs for a variety of different clinical types.

Dr Fuller has previously established a range of AQPs across Leeds working in collaboration with local health care providers and the hospital to provide community based ophthalmology, dermatology, endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound and gastroenterology services.

 

As the founder of the Fuller and Forbes Health Care Group, Dr. Fuller has continued to drive innovation in primary care.

 

Dr. Fuller leads on the development of AI-driven systems such as SmartConsult, Smart Navigation, and ChatBot Integration which have revolutionised patient care delivery. Through his leadership, the organisation has implemented peer support mechanisms and shared best practices to improve sustainability and enhance the patient journey.
